Our customers can choose from over 150 high-quality upper leathers! Hardly any other bespoke shoemaker can offer such variety. You only pay for the exact amount of leather required for your order.

Our well-stocked warehouse not only holds various nappa leathers, but also first-class box calf, Scotchgrain, suede, nubuck, outdoor leather, waterproof leather, Russian leather and much more. We do not use leather from the hides of CITES-protected animal species or sharks.

We also offer a range of lining leathers. From light lamb nappa to soft cowhide lining leather and strong sweat-resistant lining leather for heavy-duty footwear. We prefer to use leather that has been tanned using purely vegetable-based methods. The range is complemented by textile and synthetic inner linings, including fireproof inner linings, e.g. for shoes used in motor racing.

Today, we still design largely according to our great-grandfather’s method, a combination of Robert Knöfel’s Geomtric system and C.B. Hatfield’s last copying method, which allows us to achieve a high degree of accuracy.

Cutting is also done by hand, not with a digital cutter. We “feel” the structures in the leather, identify flaws and select the optimal pulling direction for each upper part.
